Good value for a first-timer

Gemini feels a bit more structured and maybe a little less overwhelming than Coinbase sometimes, especially with their regular interface vs ActiveTrader. Both are pretty good though.

Coinbase is super beginner-friendly, but Gemini is also regulated and has a good reputation. I'd say Gemini is maybe a step up in terms of features once you get comfortable, but Coinbase is a bit simpler to start.

Usually it's through a referral link. Someone sends you their link, you sign up with it, and then you usually have to trade a certain amount to get the bonus. No actual 'promo code' box most of the time.

Yeah, referral links are how I got mine. Just make sure you use one when you create your account, and then you usually have to hit a trading volume target to unlock the free bitcoin.

I think they're pretty standard for a credit card. If your credit is 'okay,' you probably have a shot. You'll need to go through the usual application stuff, kinda like any other credit card.
